HP Compaq 6710b 6700 drivers are tiny programs that enable your Laptop hardware to communicate with your operating system software. It´s absolutely awesome and I can recommend this card to anyone who is planning to upgrade a 6710 to wireless N. Some drivers most likely are not offered.
When I installed it in my PC it asked for a driver, which did not come with the Wireless LAN card. I was unable to locate any solid information on this.

Last year I upgraded my Compaq 6710b to Windows 10 64 bit and functioning satisfactorily since, not any driver issue whatsoever. However I just wondered whether the Broadcom WLAN N module HP partnr. I have had to install a driver for Broadcom wireless cards on older laptops upgraded to Windows 10 and generally drivers labelelled as Windows 7 drivers do work. I am pretty sure we can get it to work but can't guarantee. You should be able to get such adapter for a few dollars I would think. Thank you Huffer for all of your replies and support, it has been of great help. I just installed the Intel 4965AGN MM2 WLAN adapter HP part nr 441086-002. Since no third antenna was available middle connector 3 was not connected. Booted my Compaq 6710b and It just went smoothly into Windows 10 operation without any issues. No seperate drivers were required to be installed.

Or should I refrain from ordering it. I would like to upgrade to Intel WiFi Link 5300 adapter but I would like to know if it is compatible or not. Hi Paul, as promised here my expierence about the upgrade of my 6710b. There are some router settings and advanced settings on the wireless card in the device manager you should hp compaq 6710b drivers. I would like to upgrade to Intel WiFi Link 5300 adapter but I would like to know if it is compatible or not. I don't know if the problems is the driver or not, but at least I am able to connect to my Wireless Router at g speeds.
